i prayed for you when you appeared

i swear i did

and just like that you put me in your fever dream and we left this world for our own

the extraterrestrial kind that scares even the most brave, but reveals the absolute magic this universe can bring

if we met in a past life, it might have been amongst these same stars, where we laid on the rings of Saturn wasting days away

or rather under the smoke and colors of Venus, to a place we shared, that felt underwater, where only we knew how to breathe it all in and out, where our air coated our lungs, where only your heart spoke to mine

hurt felt distant there, but when it came it destroyed too much. it flooded. it drowned. it killed.

if i could kiss your ring finger one last time, it may light up another millennia entangled in the cosmic chaos of love, because i loved you in another life, a million times over,

always & forever, always always always
